The flow chart below shows how Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) instructions pass through the-energy-portal.
Step 1
Firstly, you instruct the job. This can be done on an individual or volume basis depending upon your requirements. All you need to do is contact the-energy-portal and explain your requirements and we will describe exactly what we can do for you. For volume EPC instructions we will be able to arrange to integrate with our IT systems, making the process of instruction seamless. This includes progress reporting on a regular basis.
Step 2
We run a check on our extensive national database and allocate the EPC instruction to an available Domestic Energy Assessor or Home Inspector.
Step 3
The Inspector makes arrangements to inspect the property at a time to suit the home owner or occupier.
Step 4
The Inspector carries out an inspection of the property, records all the necessary details including nature of construction, heating and hot water systems and controls, insulation levels and measurements. The inspector will make enquiries of the home owner wherever possible.
Step 5
The inspector submits the inspection data via a Government approved accreditation scheme at which stage the appropriate quality assurance audits are carried out.
Step 6
The Energy Performance Certificate is then lodged at Landmark and RRN (the official Report Reference Number) is issued and the Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) supplies this information back to the-energy-portal.
Step 7
RRN then triggers case-completion, automatically sending it back to the-energy-portal.
Step 8
Throughout the whole process, all enquiries relating to any aspect of a job commissioned by the-energy-portal will be handled at our state-of-the-art Contact Centre.
