How the process works for Domestic Energy Assessors and Home Inspectors
The flow chart below shows how Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) instructions pass through the-energy-portal.
Step 1
Firstly, a Client, usually a Home Information Pack Provider, instructs the job. For volume EPC instructions we will have made arrangements to fully integrate the Client with our IT systems, making the process of instruction seamless. This includes progress reporting on a regular basis.
Step 2
We allocate the EPC instruction to the nearest available Domestic Energy Assessor or Home Inspector.
Step 3
Once you have checked that you are available to do the job within the required timescales, you then make arrangements to inspect the property at a time to suit both yourself and the home owner or occupier.
Step 4
You carry out an inspection of the property in accordance with the instructions provided.
Step 5
You submit the inspection data via a Government approved accreditation scheme which will carry out the appropriate quality assurance audits.
Step 6
The Energy Performance Certificate is then automatically lodged at Landmark and RRN (the official Report Reference Number) is issued.
Step 7
You supply the RRN back to the-energy-portal. RRN then triggers case-completion.
Step 8
Throughout the whole process, any enquiries will be handled at our state-of-the-art Contact Centre.
Step 9
You invoice us for all the jobs you do for us at the end of the month in which they are done and we will pay you on normal business terms.
